Darla F. Perez, 67, passed away October 4, 2025 at her home in Larned.

She was born August 26, 1958, in Shamrock, Texas; the daughter of John Gale and Virgie J. Dalton Rector. A longtime area resident; she was a MHDD Tech at Larned State Hospital.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. Darla enjoyed collecting pictures and being present for as many milestones and activities for her grandkids as she could. She collected Angels, liked Elvis and old silent, black and white movies, sunsets, rainbows and flowers. She also loved going to the lake and collecting knick-knacks which she would change out for every season.

On December 31, 1979 she married Anthony E. Perez at Larned. He survives.

Other survivors include; her son, Anthony (Natasha) Perez Jr., Colorado Springs, Colorado and her two daughters, Amy Longbine, Wichita and Autumn (Clint) Millan, Grand Island, Nebraska; a brother, Tracy (Jenny) Rector, Larned; eight grandchildren, Jamalyn, Devalyn, Karlie, Dylan, Corbin, Kaelin, Bodie and Luiz; two great grandchildren, Rayann and Isabelle; and her dog, Peanut.

She was preceded in death by; her parents, her son, Luiz Perez and three sisters, Connie Cox, Gayla Frymark and Carol Rector.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Robert Schremmer presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Rosary and Vigil Service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the Darla Perez memorial fund (checks payable to Beckwith Mortuary) in care of Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
