Darla Marie Pierson

Darla Marie Pierson, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 17, 2024. The loving daughter of Patricia (Isaac) Jane and Leonard (Nancy) Marth. Darla was born on April 11, 1963, in Bay City. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Pierson, for almost 42 wonderful years. Her whole world revolved around her family. She would drop anything and everything to help her family out. Darla was not only a mother figure to her own children, but to numerous friends of her three sons.

 Darla enjoyed going to the casino whenever she was “bored”, playing card games with her family, and playing dice with her husband. She cherished her time spent with her grandkids. Whether it be watching them play sports, sitting down playing games with them, or simply just visiting. Darla will forever be missed dearly. 

 Left to cherish her memory are; her mother, Patricia Jane; her husband, Donald Pierson; sons Ryan (Stephanie) Pierson; Adam (Leann) Pierson; Joshua (Kristi) Pierson; bonus son, Adam (“AJ”) Johnson; sisters Cynthia (Craig) Ayers; Marchella (Robert) O’Dell; Beverly (late Brian) Archambeau; Laurie Marth; brother Michael Marth; best friends Kris Gontko; Sally Hair; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several very close friends. Darla was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Marth; stepmother Nancy Marth; stepfather Isaac Jane; mother-in-law, Barbara Ellen Pierson; great niece Arianna; great nephews Jaxson and Dominik. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held at Bangor Township Hall, 3921 Wheeler Rd, Bay City 48706, Tuesday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. (doors will open at noon). Visitation and luncheon will follow until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation for the family’s wishes. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Essexville-Hampton Police Department.
