Darla Ramsbottom Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Darla Jean Ramsbottom, age 59, of Dardenne Prairie, MO passed away November 12, 2025. Darla was born March 12, 1966, in Belleville, IL, daughter of Robert and Darlene Drury. She was raised with her four siblings, Robert, Jr., Donna, Paula, and Amy.
She met her husband Greg while he was playing baseball and in 1988, they were married. Together they had two daughters, Amanda and Katy. Her husband's job required many transfers over the years and she was very supportive of his career and a dedicated mother.
Darla enjoyed sports; participating in softball in high school and cheering on the sidelines during events. Her favorite time was when she and her sister, Paula attended the women's softball world series. Beyond sports, she loved music and singing. She attended concerts with her daughters and also enjoyed a good musical.
Above all, she loved the role of grandmother to her grandson Jasper. Although he was living in another state, she made time each day to facetime with him and let him know how much he meant to her.
Darla is survived by her husband, Greg Ramsbottom; her two daughters, Amanda (Aaron) Fischer and Katy (Kyle) Coolidge; her siblings, Robert Drury, Jr., Donna Ladyman, Paula O'Connell, and Amy Gibbs; grandson, Jasper; and father-in-law, Nile Ramsbottom; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Drury and Phyllis "Darlene" (Lynch) Drury, and her mother-in-law, Marg Ramsbottom.
Darla had a magnetic personality and lit up a room with her smile. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made payable to: FOCUS Marines Foundation (focusmarines.org/get-involved/donate), P.O. Box 476, Ballwin, MO 63022
The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville.
