Darla Joy Worley was a force of nature. Known to those who loved her as a hurricane, Darla and Darnado, she entered the world with intensity, beauty, and unstoppable energy-and she lived every moment the same way. Darla passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 22, 2025, leaving behind a silence that feels unimaginable in the wake of such a powerful presence.
Born on May 2, 2003, in
Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Darla never asked for permission, never slowed down for fear, and never lived cautiously. She took chances without stopping to consider consequences, choosing instead to live fully, boldly, and unapologetically. She lit up every room she entered-her laugh, her confidence, her spirit impossible to ignore. Darla loved deeply, fiercely, and without reservation.
A true free spirit, Darla carved her own path with courage and determination. She was strong in every sense of the word-physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her dedication to gymnastics, weightlifting, Jiu Jitsu, and MMA fighting reflected her discipline, grit, and fearless heart. She was never afraid to push limits, challenge expectations, or prove-to herself most of all-that she could do anything.
Above all else, Darla loved her people. Family and friends were her anchor, and making memories with them was her greatest joy. She loved cooking for those she cared about, being outdoors, and soaking up life's simple moments as intensely as its biggest adventures. Darla was also a driven entrepreneur, proudly serving as the owner/CEO of Coastline Wraps, a custom wrap company that reflected her creativity, leadership, and unstoppable drive.
Darla is survived by her parents, Christy and Kenneth Worley, and her father, Kristopher Joyner; her brothers, Davis Joyner, Coleman Worley, Grant Joyner, and Christian Wadbrook; her beloved nephew, Solomon Joyner; her grandparents, Wayne (10-14-2025) and Muggins Watts, Charles (5-31-2010) and Barbara Worley, Ken and Rebecca Joyner; her uncles, Zeb Watts, Andy Watts, Todd Lewis, and Mark Joyner; and her aunts, Sarah Capps Watts, Angela Worley, and Julie Joyner-along with a wide circle of friends who were forever changed by knowing her.
Darla's light was bold, beautiful, and untamed. Though her life was far too short, her impact was vast. Her legacy lives on in the laughter she sparked, the love she gave so freely, and the fearless way she chose to live. Though she is no longer here on earth, we are comforted by the assurance that Darla placed her faith in Jesus Christ and is now in the loving care of her Heavenly Father. She will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever celebrated.
A Celebration of life for Darla Joy Worley will be held on Monday, December 29, at 2:00 p.m. CST) at Faith Assembly Christian Church in Miramar Beach, Florida. Services will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
