Darlene Kay Austin, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Riverside, California, at the age of 62. Born on November 7, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, Darlene lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a deep commitment to her faith.

Darlene was a cherished mother to her beloved children, Michael, Rusty, and Jessica Biggs, and a devoted step-mother to A.J. and Christopher Austin. Her love extended to her many grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye and brought immense joy to her life. She was a sister held in high esteem by her siblings Darren Walker, Christine Bishop, Robert Walker, Steve Martin, and Theresa Martin. Her step-dad, Robert Shaw, also held a special place in her heart.

For the past five years, Darlene dedicated her life to caregiving, a vocation that perfectly suited her nurturing and selfless nature. She provided comfort and support to those in need, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of others. Her work was not just a job; it was a manifestation of her loving spirit.

Her passions included her unwavering love for the Lord, which was the cornerstone of her existence. Darlene's faith was evident in her everyday actions and her involvement with Eagles Ridge and His Light on the Hill churches, where she was a beloved member. She lived her faith through service, always available to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need.

A woman of many interests, Darlene found solace and pleasure in the tranquility of her garden. Her hands, which so often were held in prayer or in the service of others, would tenderly tend to her plants, nurturing growth and beauty in every corner of her garden.

Darlene's legacy is characterized by her loving, kind, and faith-filled nature. She was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Her gentle demeanor, combined with her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and faith, painted the portrait of a life well-lived and dearly cherished.

We bid farewell to Darlene Kay Austin, knowing that her spirit continues to shine brightly through the lives of those she touched. Her memory will be treasured, her presence sorely missed, and her example of love and faith will continue to guide us. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the beauty of selflessness and the power of a kind heart. Darlene's story does not end with her passing; it lives on in the love she shared and the lives she enriched.
