Though Skip was my cousin we did not know each other. I'm sure knowing her would have enriched my life. Leland (Lee) Smith. (Son of Homer & Jessie)

Deb, Jeff and family, Jane & I are sorry for your loss. After reading the beautiful tribute to "Skip" we understand what a wonderfully inspirational lady she was. We were blessed to share in her last batch of Christmas cookies. Finding comfort in loss is never easy. May celebrating the life of Darlene "Skip" Hambright bring you some joy during this time of sadness.

Aunt Skip was a truly exceptional lady and a special bond was shared between her and her sister, Pat. We reaped the benefits of those annual Christmas cookie baking marathons that will leave a loving mark on my waist line as a special remembrance. Such fond childhood memories of time spent with all the Hambrights. Sending warm hugs and sincere sympathy to all the family.

A truly special lady who brightened everything she touched. Over the many long years of family, she truly held us all together in one way or another. Not sure what we will do without her, but will be a loss felt for a long time. She definitely has earned a special place in Heaven, and held a special place in our hearts.

I never met Skip, but heard all the wonderful things about her from my mother-in-law, Sandy. Thank you Skip for being such an amazing friend to Sandy, she cherished all of the time you two spent together. Our thoughts and prayers are with all that knew Skip, truly a great person that will be missed by many.
