Darlene V. Johnson Jackson entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the age 64. She was a native and resident of Barataria, LA. Darlene attended Fisher High School and was a graduate of John H. Martyn High School. She was employed as a Caregiver and Direct Service Worker with Terras Total Health. Darlene was formerly employed with Lafitte Frozen Food. She was a faithful member of Mount Calvary International Worship Center, where she served as a door greeter. Beloved wife of Kelvin Jackson. Devoted mother Farrah and Chasity Petty. Loving grandmother of Ferrion Woodard, Wayne DeArmas III, Ceiona Norman, Aset and Romelo Washington, and Lunden Smith. Daughter of the late Clarence Sr. and Brenda Lee Palmer Johnson. Granddaughter of the late Alfred and Estelle Palmer, Andrew and Gladys Johnson. Sister of Clarence Johnson, Jr. and Clarene Madison. Niece of John Wayne Palmer, Sr., Ernest (Velma) Johnson, James Johnson, Carolyn Johnson, Irma Joseph, Eartha Palmer, and Edarine Johnson. Daughter-in-law of Marion Jackson; also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Calvary International Worship Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mount Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Blvd. Marrero, LA on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, Sr., officiating.
