Heath Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hurst Scott Funeral Home on Feb. 14, 2026.
Heath Edward Jackson was called on February 5, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at Clinch Valley Medical Center.

Heath was born on May 25, 1984, weighing only 1 pound and 4 ounces, delivered at 23 weeks. Barely weighing less than this twin sister, Heather. With a fight to live, he became the smallest baby to survive at Mattie Williams Hospital. He was a 2003 graduate from Richlands High School. Heath received a college certification for welding in 2016. He had a deep love for the trade. He made his home on Jewell Ridge, where he was raised. He was a part of the last 5th graders to graduate from Jewell Ridge Elementary School in 1996. He was fun to be around, had a contagious personality, a passion for grilling, and was almost a prestige master on Call of Duty.

He was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, his mother, Wilma "Cookie" Jackson, and his twin sister, Heather Lynn Jackson; his brothers, Billy Thomas Poseno Jr., Michael David Harless, Anthony Shuan Poseno, and Brandon Keith Jackson.

He is survived by his father, David Keith Jackson Sr., his sons, Anthony Edward Jackson and Andrew Heath Jackson of the home, and Jimmy Justus (Kloey); and grandboy Kolter Justus; his sisters, Michelle Dales (Benny) and Crystal Lowe (Brian).

His brothers, David Keith Jackson II (Rebecca) and Travis Jackson. Special brother (nephew) Joshua Allen Dales (Juliann).

An abundance of nieces, nephews, and great nieces, great-nephews who loved their "Uncle Heef."

His Call of Duty Family who will miss him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, announced by the family.
