Mrs. Darlene Jones, age 79 of Franklin, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Oak Hill Senior Living in Portland, TN.
Her wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. The memorial service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Darlene was born on September 5, 1945 in Franklin, KY to the late Violet (Yates) Cline and to the late Chester Cline. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jones and 2 siblings, Dewey Cline and Alma Jean Hayes.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Brad) Deavers of Franklin, KY; one sister, Janice Alford of Franklin, KY; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Pam Laney Spurlock.
Darlene, aka "Lisa's Mom", leaves behind a world that is brighter, kinder and more loving because of the time she spent with each of us. She always reminded us to enjoy the simple things in life and to always take time to dance.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Darlene's memory to the Friends of The Shelter, P.O Box 910 Franklin, KY 42135
