Mr. William “Justin” Spears, age 39, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his residence.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be continue on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Justin was born on November 18, 1985 in Bowling Green, KY to the late William Daniel “Dan” Spears and Tammy Garrett whom survives. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul Vernon and Nerma Gregory and his paternal grandfather, Douglas Gann.
In addition to being survived by his mother, Tammy Garrett of Franklin, KY, he is also survived by three siblings, Lindsey Spears (Courtney) of Bowling Green, KY, Jameson Garrett of Franklin, KY and Elizabeth Spears of Franklin, KY; paternal grandmother, Faye Lawson of Franklin, KY; a special second father, Nelson McDaniels; a niece and a nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins; step-mother, Erin Spears and his cat, Peanut Butter.
Justin was a 2005 graduate of Franklin Simpson High School. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, playing video games and was an avid animal lover.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Friends of the Shelter, P.O. 910, Franklin, KY 42135-0910. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
