Darlene Ann Therese McGriff

Darlene Ann Therese (Osborn) McGriff, 76, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026 after a year and a half battle with pancreatic cancer. Darlene was born on January 25th, 1950 in Long Beach, Ca to Rose Keegan and Lester Osborn. Darlene graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1968. She graduated from Long Beach State with a masters degree in Marine Biology. Darlene moved to Sacramento Ca in 1976 to start her 35 year career with The Department of Fish and Game Wildlife as a biologist. In 1978, while at the Nimbus fish hatchery, Darlene met William McGriff, they married a year later in April 1979. Together, they had two beautiful children. Darlene is survived by her two children, Amanda Booth, Shaun McGriff and daughter in law Jenny McGriff. Grandchildren William, Aidan, Caleb Booth and Makenzie, Kaylin, Ashlyn and Tegan McGriff. Darlene was blessed with her first great grandson Leo Booth. Darlene's funeral mass will be held on March 21st at 12 noon at St Mary's church.
