Quirk - Darlene Rose Quirk, age 63, passed away on November 2, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. After a long illness, she left this life peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Darlene was born on June 11, 1962, in Rockville, Connecticut to the late Donald and Gladys Downes Dilworth. She was the youngest sibling to the late Glenn and Paul Dilworth. A longtime resident of Northeast Connecticut, Darlene graduated from Rockville High School with the Class of 1980. She was a member of the Future Farmers of America which fostered her love for animals, especially her Yorkie-poo, Ted. Darlene had a passion for sewing, baking, puzzles, gardening, and spending quality time with her family. Following her career in accounting, she extended her love for others through a transition to nursing including at-home healthcare and various nursing homes in Connecticut and Florida.
Darlene's kindness, selflessness, compassion, and loving heart will live on in the survival of her husband of 35 years, Peter Quirk; son, William; daughter, Emily; granddaughter, Gabriella; and numerous nephews and nieces.
The tribute above was prepared by Darlene's loving family.
Darlene's family will celebrate her life privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of CEDAR BAY FUNERAL HOME, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218. (904) 714-1110.

Earlier today

I am so sad to hear of Darlene's passing and will be thinking of her husband, children and grandchild during this difficult time. I worked with Darlene for years at Gerber Technology in Tolland, CT and she was a kind person with a big heart. I have many fond memories of Darlene, may she rest in peace.
