Darlene M. Reilly

Dodgeville – Darlene Reilly, age 90, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born November 18, 1926, the daughter of Leo, Sr. and Mildred (Heibel) Dochnahl. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1944. On October 12, 1946, Darlene married Bob Reilly at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and they were married 56 years until Bob's death on August 8, 2002. In addition to raising 4 children, she worked for GTE for 15 years, retiring in 1979. She also worked several years at Upland Hills Hospital in the business office and enjoyed helping count the church money for St. Joe's. Darlene loved working in her flower gardens and thoroughly enjoyed breakfasts at the Red Room and gatherings on her porch with family and friends. Darlene will be greatly missed by her loving children, Greg (Elizabeth) Reilly of Greenfield, WI, Jean (Joe) Halverson of Richland Center, Deb (Denny) Wilkinson and Jeff Reilly both of Dodgeville; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; three loving sisters, Joan Kirkpatrick, Marilyn Grimm and Janice (Howard) Rideout all of Dodgeville; two sisters-in-law, Vonnie and Jean Dochnahl; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved grand dog, Jade. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Leo, Jr. and Gary Dochnahl, her sister, Eileen Nelson, as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Msgr. Daniel Ganshert will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
