Darlene Rogers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 89, in Boswell, Oklahoma. Born on February 11, 1936, in the small community of Bower, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Clarence Pearce and Emily Hamlin Pearce. Darlene lived a life rich in love, community, and faith, and her legacy will resonate for generations to come.

Darlene married the love of her life, Leroy Rogers, on May 28, 1952, in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and laughter, raising a beautiful family. Darlene dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, nurturing her children and creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

Her family was her pride and joy. Darlene is survived by her devoted daughter, Donna Pope, and husband, Dr. Stanley Pope, Jr., of Boswell, Oklahoma; her loving son, Jimmy Rogers, and wife, Kim, also of Boswell. She was a proud grandmother to Dr. Corey Pope and his wife, Dr. Megan M. Pope, and to her granddaughter, Dr. Stanna Pope, all of Boswell. Darlene was also the delighted great-grandmother of two great-grandchildren, Creed Pope and Riley Pope, who brought her immeasurable joy. She will be deeply missed by John Rogers and Linda of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Archie Rogers and Kathy of Quinton, Oklahoma, and Teddy Rogers and Diana of McAlester, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of lifelong friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit.

Darlene's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Boswell, where she served in various capacities. She loved teaching children the Bible in Sunday School, worked diligently to keep the church clean as custodian, and was honored to provide bereavement dinners for grieving families in her community. Her heart for service was evident in everything she did, and she touched countless lives with her compassion and generosity.

In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed antique shopping and cherished her collection of Moon & Stars dishes. She had a green thumb and found joy in working with flowers, nurturing them much like she nurtured her family and friends. Darlene enjoyed opportunities to travel, which allowed her to create lasting memories especially with Leroy. She was also known for being a wonderful cook, often bringing families together over delicious meals.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Leroy, her parents, and her infant sister, Bonnie Jean Pearce. Her departure leaves a void that will not easily be filled, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew her.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Boswell, Oklahoma.

A funeral service to celebrate Darlene's life will be held Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Boswell, Oklahoma. Friends and loved ones are invited to join Darlene's family in honoring the remarkable life of a woman who was their example of love, faith, and resilience.

As we remember Darlene Rogers, let us carry forward the lessons of kindness, service, and love that she instilled in all of us. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Boswell First Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were trusted to Mt. Olive Funeral Home, 303 N 2nd Hugo, OK 74743, (580) 326-9627.
