Of Waupaca, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born in Waupaca on October 20, 1940 to the late Marlyn and Lucile (Zabel) Robbert. Darlene was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She worked at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for over 30 years. Darlene was passionate about genealogy and was inducted into the Virginia V. Irvin Hall of Fame for her work with genealogy. She was a Charter Member of the Waupaca Area Genealogical Society since 1994.
Darlene will be missed by her daughters: Colleen Howard and Dawn (James) Bedient; grandchildren: Maurice (Lacy) Howard, Shanday Howard, Grace and Emily Bedient; 6 great grandchildren; brother: Lee (Lynne) Robbert; sisters: Lori Gunderson, Donna (Tom) Lind, Mavis (J.R.) Siegler; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Ryan, brother, DuWayne Robbert, son-in-law, Stephen Howard.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Road, Waupaca. The visitation will be on Friday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Calvary Lutheran Church Altar Guild in Darlene's name or to the charity of your choice.
