Darlene Joyce Wing was born on August 3, 1940, in Livingston, Montana. She passed peacefully at her home in Livingston on Sunday, October 19, 2025, having lived a long 85 years.
Darlene was born and raised in Livingston where she attended Park County High School. She worked for Burlington Northern and Santa Fe railroads from 1982 until she retired in 2008. After retirement, she stayed home loving and caring for her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her children: David Wing, Gayla Wing, Richard Wing and his wife Teddia; James Wing and his wife Sarah, Sheri Wing and Donny King; Her grandchildren: Bailey Kostman and her husband Chris, Dalan Olsell, EmaLee Wing, Brandon Wing, Channa Wing, Angel King, Hope Palmer, Ethan Palmer, Lexi Stetter, Zoey, Alden and Murphy; Her great-grandchildren: Alec Bauer, Adam Bauer, Zowiauna Kostman, Xzavyer Kostman and Emberly Wade and her brother Ralph Betcher Jr.
Darlene is predeceased by her husband Roy Wing; her parents Dorothy and Ralph Betcher; one daughter Linda Wing and her siblings Sandra Betcher and Donald Betcher.
At her request there will not be any services. Cremation has taken place. Her cremated remains will be interred with her husband Roy Wing at Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston, Montana.
Darlene’s family would like to share a special thanks to Teddia Wing, Gayla Wing, Richard Wing and Sheri Wing for taking such great care of Darlene over the past few months. Darlene was strong, courageous and bold. Her family is grateful for her long and happy life.
