Darnell Dean Barnes

Darnell D. Barnes witnessed a beautiful sunset on Friday, February 25, 2024, as he transitioned from this life.
Mr. Darnell's sunrise was September 18, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, as he was born to Barbara Tate.
His favorite pastimes included spending quality time with his children and bringing joy to his loved ones. He readily provided a sense of reassurance and peace to those he loved. Mr. Darnell took pride in caring for children. He ensured all children he encountered felt love, joy, and consideration. He relished dressing his best at all times and was known for his grace on the dance floor while stepping.
Mr. Darnell was a man of great faith. He trusted God's process at all stages of his life and gladly shared his love and blessings with the world. He gained much wisdom during his life and through his love for God. Mr. Darnell was also a devoted member of the R.A.N. Club, where he shared his knowledge and wisdom to shed light on the issues of the world.
His survivors include daughters, Darshay Cromartie and D'Erika Cromartie; son, Tayarry Sims; brother, Dennis Sanders; a host of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends who have all been a great deal of support and a source of love and laughter.
Proceeding him in death are his mother, Barbara Tate; and brothers, Daniel Sanders and Douglas Sanders.
Mr. Darnell will be eternally loved and cherished by those he spent his life loving.
