Darnell "Dc" Cotton

Darnell Jamal Cotton was born November 16, 2006, in Houston Texas at Parkway Hospital. Darnell is the son of Shantal S. Harris and Darrell J. Cotton he was raised in Acres Homes and continued to live there until he was 3 years old. After leaving Acres Homes we moved to the Studewood Area. Darnell started Elementary School at the age of 5 years old, he attended Highland Heights Elementary from Pre-K to 4th grade. Darnell completed Grade School at Clark Elementary & received his Completion Diploma at the age of 10 years old.
School Journey at Woodcreek Middle School Completing Grade Levels 6th-8th between the ages of 11-14 years old. He was promoted to the 9th grade and which he began his first year of high school at Summer Creek High School completing grades 9th & 10th & was on his 2nd semester of 11th grade during his time of passing he was expected to graduate high school in May 2025.
Darnell grew a love for having money at a very early age & that love grew stronger he did have interest in wanting to be an Engineer in the Oilfield Industry. His first job was Home Depot at 16 years old, over time he became fascinated with cars & would speak of his dream car being a Hellcat Dodge Charger he had a lot of dreams of being Rich but in his words "PAID". Throughout his Journey on Earth, he was able to capture a lot of love from everyone with his charming personality he was a very special young man.
Darnell passed away on March 9, 2024. He's survived by his Mom(Shantal) &Dad (Darrell) 8 Sisters; Mariah, Aniyah, Bailey, Taveyhanna, True, Wynter, Tarriell & a baby sister on the way 3 Brothers; Brandon Jr, Khyrie, & Tyrrell Grandparents; Tora Harris, Lorraine Cotton, & Darrel Cotton Aunts; Tornecqua Harris, Creseda Odoms, & Brandi Walston Uncles; Zachary Harris, Jimmy Odoms, Justins Odoms & Michael Cotton Cousins; Darell, Jada, Ja'lysia, Ry'Lynn, Andre, Ellis Jr, Ellis 3rd, Brianna, Br'Naya, Bailey, King, & Mya and a host of other relatives and friends. He preceded in death by: Stepfather; Brandon Curtis Sr., Uncle; Ellis Harris Sr., Uncle; Cameron Harris, Great-Great Grandmother; Leolia Lewis, Great Uncle; Albert Lewis Jr. Great Aunt; Patricia Johnson
