Obituary
Mr. Darnell Davis, age 54, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, on September 4, 1970, to the late Johnell and Ruby Collins Davis.
Darnell was educated in the Effingham County School System. At an early age, he accepted Christ and attended the Church of God in Springfield, Georgia, where he built a foundation of faith that guided him throughout his life.
He was employed with Warnell Farms for eight years and was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Darnell was preceded in death by his parents, Johnell and Ruby Davis; his brother, William James; and his sister, Nora L. Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Sisters: Joyce Robinson, Carolynn James (Patrick), Henerietta Smart (Nathan), Anna Lee Lambert; Brother: James Johnson (Sonya); Aunts: Ernestine Collins, Jeanette Wilson (Alfred), Bessie Davis; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Darnell will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet strength. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 1-6 P.M. at Smalls Funeral Home, Inc Chapel, located at 203 Samuel Smalls Sr. Ave., Guyton, Georgia 31312. A Life Celebration will take place 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the same location. Interment will follow at Ferguson Cemetery, Ferguson Ave., Guyton, Georgia 31312. Smalls Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family during this time.
