Darrel Keith Hall

Darrel (Keith) Hall, age 87 of Vadnais Heights, MN, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, after a long fight with Alzheimer's Disease. Keith was born on November 25, 1936, in Austin, MN, and was the fifth of fourteen children. In 1960 Keith married his late wife, Shirley Hall (Christopherson), and they were married 61 years before her death in 2021. Keith and Shirley were blessed with two sons Gary and Roger Hall. Gary was born and adopted in 1966 and Roger was born in 1967.
Keith spent the majority of his career as a head chef at private clubs including the University Club, and the Fort Snelling Employee's Club. Keith was an avid MN Twins fan and in retirement he worked in guest services for the MN Twins, a job he loved and excelled at with his cheerful, welcoming and humorous personality. Keith was a master at one-liners and delighted in making people laugh with his goofy facial expressions and actions.
Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley; parents, Walter and Louise; and siblings Raymond, Dorris, Ronnie, Duane, Richard, and Byron. He is survived by his sons Gary (Barb) Hall and Roger Hall; grandchildren Justin (Brandy) Hobrough, Hannah (JB) Stender, Emily, Avery and Addison Hall and their mother Teresa Hall; great-grandson Grayson Hobrough; his siblings Eddie, Kay, Shirley, Jimmy, Charlie, Dennis, and Karen; his in-laws Nancy Christen, Dennis and Kathy Christopherson; and well over 100 nieces and nephews.
The family would be honored by donations made to the Alzheimer's Association as it will help others and their families facing Alzheimer's, and it's a beautiful way to memorialize Keith's life.
A private interment ceremony with family will take place at a later date.
