Darrell Doyle, 68, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

Born in Mason County on November 21, 1957, Darrell was a son of the late William Layton Doyle and the late Lavina Elizabeth Prater Doyle.

Darrell was a lifelong farmer and a longtime member of several local farmers markets. He was known for his green thumb when it came to raising large award winning tomatoes. He was a baptized member of Foxport Baptist Church and an attending member of the Goddard Global Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years and a half, Mary Elizabeth McVey Doyle; his son, Darrell (Casey) Doyle; and his three step grandchildren, Laton, Will, and Kyle. He is also survived by four of his siblings, David Doyle, Bonnie McClain, Darlene (Danny) Pence, and Lauri Stacy; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his mom and his dad, Darrell was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Doyle.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Goddard Global Methodist with Bro. Jim Doughton and Steve Miller officiating.

Darrell will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Travis McGlone, Jody Gray, Steve Miller, Johnny Wagner, Woodie Reeves, and Jim Inman. Honorary pallbearers include his step grandchildren along with Steve McCord, Cecil & Susie Wilson, and Katie Wilson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Goddard Global Methodist located at Highway 32 in Wallingford KY 41093.

In place of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Darrell to Goddard Cemetery (C/O Bernice Plummer, 1905 Craintown Road, Flemingsburg KY 41041) and/or Cancer Care Club ( P O Box 189, Flemingsburg KY 41041).
