Pawtucket - Darrell R. Dumont, 52, of Pawtucket, died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Pawtucket a son of Roland and Judith (Mathieu) Dumont, he was raised in Seekonk, Mass., and lived in Pawtucket for many years.

A skilled painter by trade, Darrell worked alongside his family at Dumont Brothers, where he poured his creativity and dedication into his craft. He was also a member of the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, Local 1138, Dorchester, Mass.

Beyond his professional life, he treasured time with his family and friends. He was an adventurous spirit who loved the outdoors, enjoying hiking and participating in the annual Father & Son Canoe Trip to the Saco River in Maine. Music was another big passion of his, and he found joy in attending concerts and sharing music with those he loved. He had a great love for Spiderman and playing his favorite video games. Darrell also embraced meditation and Buddhist beliefs, finding solace and peace in these practices.

Darrell was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Aurora Dumont of Seekonk. He is also survived by his parents, Roland and Judith Dumont of Pawtucket; and his brothers, Lance Dumont of Seekonk and Brian Dumont of Burrillville, and several nieces and nephews. Darrell's family meant the world to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
