Darrell Dutile Obituary

Darrell Joseph Dutile, 61, of Rangeley, Maine, died unexpectedly on November 30, 2024 in Lincoln Plantation, Maine. He was born in 1963 and raised in Manchester, NH. The first of three children to Maurice "Joe" and Priscilla Dutile, he graduated from Memorial High School and furthered his education at Keene State.

He spent his career as an incredibly talented carpenter creating custom woodwork, then moved on later in his career to become an estimator. He remodeled his first home in Auburn, NH, and lived most of his life in the surrounding areas where he raised his family. Building cars, trucks, snowmobiles, and restoring antiques were among his favorite hobbies, with something always being worked on in his shop.

Darrell relocated to his favorite area Rangeley, Maine in 2019 after spending years building his home from the ground up. He most enjoyed spending his time there snowmobiling, being outdoors, and being with his family. He was a valued member of his community, and loved by all. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, two sons, two stepsons, and wife. In his remembrance, there will be a gathering to share memories at the Strange Brew Tavern in Manchester, NH from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, December 9th.

Darrell was an awesome man. He helped my extended family in Rangeley to construct a new home for a cousin. Outside of his generosity he was a man to be revered and admired. He is missed. RIP

To the Dutile family, my condolences on Darrell's passing. We went to MMHS together and became fast friends. Hung out together at backyard bonfires. He was kind, funny, and very friendly. A few years ago, I got the chance to catch up again by telephone; such a pleasure. Keeping all of you in my prayers.

I went to Memorial High w Darrell and also worked w him at Alexander´s Supermarket. He had a kind heart and soul! Based on his obituary, he obviously loved working w his hands! To his family and friends, sorry for your loss. He definitely died too early...he was robbed for sure!

Terry and I met Darrell when he was helping my cousin build a new home for her daughter, in Rangeley Maine. We were also trying to help during construction. We are both experienced with minor renovation tasks but not carpenters. Darrell was patiently helping us to be productive helpers in an area out of our comfort zone. We haven't met a harder worker, gracious and talented man in our long lives. We will miss him. Rest in Peace. May you find peace in heaven.

I am so sad to learn this.
My condolences to all of his loved ones. Darrell and I went to
MMHS together. He was a terrific guy and sounds like through his obituary that he was throughout his life.

I met Darrell and his brother Doug at Alexanders Supermarket. Always smiling and full of fun. Then within the last few years I met him through Chamberlain and he had not changed one bit. My heartfelt sympathies to his whole family. God bless you in this time of sorrow. All my prayers. Darrell will be missed.
