Darrell Lee Handy

Darrell Lee "Dirt" Handy, 60, was born February 14, 1963, in Welsh, Louisiana to Thomas Lee Handy and Edna Mae Hall Handy. Darrell loved to be around family and friends. He never called anyone by their name, only sister, brother, cousin, or whatever your relationship was. He attended W. O. Boston High School. Mr. Handy departed this life Friday, January 5, 2024, in a local hospital. He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters, Rosalyn Handy and Carvetta (Jeremie) Myles; two brothers, Thomas Handy Jr. and Mark Anthony Handy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Handy; sisters, Cheryl Hall, Paula Orphey, Linda Handy, and Mercie Handy; and brothers, Bradley Fontenot Sr. and Wayne Allen Handy. His visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 9AM with his funeral following at 11AM, at James Funeral Home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Jennings.
