Darrell D. Huff, of Farmington, entered eternal rest surrounded by his loved ones at his residence on December 26, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Tom and Doris (Pulliam) Huff.
Darrell is survived by his devoted partner, Janice Parker; his children, Megan Gusman (Mark), Heather Anderson (Lenny Smith), and Heidi McDowell (Bill); his siblings, Dorothy Fouts, Ruth Huff-Berry, Helen Murphy, John Huff, Clara Rector, and Donna Woodfin; his grandchildren, Braxton Drummond, Brenton Drummond, Milayna Drummond, Zabien Gusman, Bayly Woodley, Jaylyn Tripp, Jackson McDowell, Emerson McDowell, and Alyssa Chard; and his great-grandson, Arthur Chard. He is also survived by many lifelong special friends.
In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Huff; his stepbrother, Tracey Leach; and his sister, Christine Leach.
Darrell worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as a work release program director for 33 years, where he was proud of the work he did and the people he helped along the way. Outside of work, Darrell truly enjoyed the outdoors and making memories with family and friends. He loved camping trips, relaxing by the river, sitting around bonfires, and spending time riding side-by-sides and motorcycles. Barbequing was one of his favorite pastimes, often bringing everyone together for good food, laughter, and conversation. Darrell was known for his easygoing nature and great sense of humor, always ready with a joke or story that left others smiling.
Per Darrell’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the American Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com
