Darrell Gene Kahl was born February 1st, 1935 in Ortinville Mn. He was reunited with the love of his life on December 2nd, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.
Darrell is survived by his 4 daughters, Terri Keller Spak (Steven), Julie Janisch Hubbard, Laurie Krueger, Tamara Skiba (Mark). Grandchildren, Katie, Kali, Josh, Bethany, Amanda, Angela and Joseph Carl Darrell. Great grandchildren, Gracie, Angie, Aaron, Alex, Kynslie, Jameson, Jensen, Tyler, Evan, Markie, Manoah, Ethan, Evan, Cj, Sarah Grace, Sawyer, dear brother in law Donald Wirth (Julie), Jim Willis, special friends Naomi and Leo, God children Laura and Grace and son in law Joseph Willut.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Elanor Kahl, special uncle Raymond Kahl and aunt Lena Kahl.
On June 12th 1971 he was united in marriage to Roberta Grace. They resided in New Berlin Wi until they retired to Fountain Hills Arizona in 2000. They met so many dear friends and spent a lot of time with his brother-in-law Don Wirth and sister in law Julie Wirth. They joined Trinity Lutheran Church where he was an Elder and very involved. They were a true Church family to him.
Darrell loved race car driving and raced his own stock car in his younger years. He loved attending races with family and friends. He also enjoyed going to brewers spring training. He was an avid sports fan and also loved traveling with family and friends during their retirement years. Darrell spent many years truck driving across the country and local. He also served in the National Guard for several years.
In his retirement years he enjoyed driving limo and picking up rich people and making sure all his family knew who they were.
Family would like to extend a special thankyou to Castle Senior Living for all the love and special care he received and also Castle Hospice who helped make his final journey home to Jesus a bit easier for his loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to gather and visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday January 11th, 2024, at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, 15250 W. Cleveland Ave. New Berlin WI, 53151.
In Lieu of flowers memorials to Castle Care Foundation would be appreciated.
