Mr. Peter L. Bizzari Sr.

UTICA- Peter L. Bizzari, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the age of 75.
Peter was born in Utica on November 6, 1947, to the late Arthur and Emma (Pistolesi) Bizzari. He was raised and educated in Utica, and was a graduate of UFA. At one time Peter was married to Jean M. Mazzola and from that marriage came the blessing of their son, Peter L. Bizzari, Jr.
Peter was previously involved in running the family business, Peter's Grocery Store on Whitesboro Street, Utica, New York from a young boy to adulthood where he learned the craft of meat cutting. He eventually transitioned into a career in real estate, owning and operating Bizzari Real Estate which served the Mohawk Valley for many years. Peter was incredibly hard-working; never taking a day off. He wore a suit and tie even while he mowed the lawn in between busy workdays. Peter's dry sense of humor always lit up a room, especially when everyone needed it most. Peter was a lifelong New York Giants fan, proudly carrying the tradition to his son and grandsons. Peter very much enjoyed the hobby of metal detecting and always enjoyed a good ride up north, especially to the Adirondacks and Otter Lake and taking his beloved dog Snowy for a walk.
Peter leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Peter L. and Ashley (Sabis) Bizzari, Jr., as well as his beloved grandsons Jordan and Giovanni. He was predeceased by his sister Louise M. Bizzari.
In keeping with Peter's wishes, his family and friends will celebrate his life and memory privately.
Peter's family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Dr. Andrea Johnson, his niece and goddaughter, for her loving care and concern, and also to the staff of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for their care and compassion.
