Darrell was born on January 11, 1958, Grady Ralph McCroy and Hurdline Johnson McCroy. He passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph McCroy; one sister, April McCroy.
He is survived by his mother, Hurdline McCroy; brothers, Larry McCroy (Dawn), Tim McCroy, and Rodney McCroy; sister, Kathy Daniel (Richard); nieces and nephews, Chris Striker (Kathryn), Duffy Striker (Amber), Sean Daniel (Ashley), Courtney Blair (Kristian), Brandon McCroy, Cody McCroy (Lindsay), Jesse McCroy, Justice McCroy, Kristian Grimes (Heath), Rodney McCroy, Jr.; fourteen great nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews; special friend, Vickie Sheets; a host of family and friends.
