Darrell Merrifield

I remember a special day on April 25, 1973, he came over at our house to discuss the Holy Spirit which I was questioning what he knew about the Holy Spirit!! He asked if he could pray over me and I said yes. After the prayer he left to go home and my life was changed from the moment I closed the door. I was filled with the Holy Spirit in a burning love. I´m forever grateful the Lord used him to help me find Him, and grateful to him for letting himself be used. I always considered him a "brother" to me. Rest in peace my dear "brother of the heart". Heaven is there for you. Hope to see you again 1 day.

He was my godfather. When I was born, he bought me a jump rope and some jacks and said that should last me for a few years. Every time he would come to our house, I would hide under our big round dining table because if he caught me he would pick me up by my ankles, hold me upside down and tickle me. Always a pillar in the church and solid man of God. He will always be remembered until we meet again. Love you parain!
