Darrell Padgett Obituary
Darrell "DW" William Padgett, 82, of Leesville, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Born on September 24, 1941, in Saluda County, SC, he was a son of the late Oscar and Seth Padgett. Darrell worked as a mechanic for over 40 years and also ran a sawmill and paving company for many years. Darrell had a soft spot for animals, and everyone knew he loved his puppies, Melissa and Muffin.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Nadine Bedenbaugh Padgett; sons Russell Padgett (Cynthia), David Padgett (Wyn), and Michael Padgett (Carmen); six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Annette Steele.
The service for Mr. Padgett will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saluda Nursing and Rehab Facility, 3131 Newberry Highway, Saluda, SC 29138.
