Darrell Pargo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robbins Brothers Funeral Home - Benton Harbor on Mar. 29, 2024.
We are here today to celebrate the life of Darrell Pargo (33). He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and so much more who will be truly and deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. Sadly, he left us so suddenly and unexpectedly on March 27th, 2024.
Darrell was born August 10, 1990, in Benton Harbor Michigan to Tammy Willis and Darrell Pargo where he spent most of his life. Darrell grew up attending Benton Harbor Area school where he played a number of sports including basketball, baseball, football, and lacrosse when he attended Kalamazoo Central High School. Darrell graduated from Benton Harbor High School in the year of 2008. Later in life, Darrell spent a few years in Kalamazoo and also Las Vegas Nevada. He went on to pursue many employment opportunities. His most recent employer was Z Smart Furniture Store. No matter what the accomplishment was that Darrell made for himself, he was always so proud, and we all were too. Throughout his many years of working, Darrell was most known for his humble genuine ways when it came to himself and others. He had such a very uplifting spirit, and he was very protective of everyone he loved. Those are characteristics you rarely find genuinely in people and for that reason, many of us cherish him the most for that.
Darrell went on in life to become a father of 6. He was known for being a very devoted and active father. He loved spending time with his best friend, children, family, and friends. He was always there to support; and offer advice or guidance and encouragement no matter what challenges were faced.
When Darrell had free time, if he wasn't sleeping or eating, he would enjoy spending it with his children, mother Tammy, brother Brian, aunts, many cousins, and close friends including his male best friend Mac and female best friend Cakes. Darrell was very big when it came to family, he didn't want to leave anyone out. He had many close friends that he would consider "brothers". Darrell enjoyed eating, sleeping, going out, listening to music, but most importantly just having a good time.
Darrell is survived in love by a host of family members including 6 Children: Raelynn Rosemarie Wheeler, Devon Ludawn Pargo, Adam Kadarris, Amir Darrell Pargo, Adarris Je'Von Pargo, Karmece Alynn Pargo, Best friend Angel Caldwell, Mother Tammy Willis, Father Darrell Pargo, Grandmother Betty Willis, Grandfather Roland A William, Brothers; Brian Pargo and Darrius Thomas. Sisters Reshonda Pargo and Laniya Cohn. Father Darrell/Lorena Pargo, Uncles; Randy Pargo, Shaun Pargo, Aaron L Pargo, Alvin Pargo/Janice Pargo, Special Cousins; Tristian Kenny Davis, Ricky Gordon, Danny, Melody, Fredrick, Corey, and Coreyanna and favorite cousin Danielle (Molly) all of the Willis family. Little cousins Ko'Bree Beauford, Daisy Yates, Brooklynn Atchison, and Michael and Maleah Price. Aunt Latoya Willis and Patricia Moran, Uncles: Gary, Stanley, Danny, and Fred all of the Willis family as well. God Sister Verlira Pratcher and God Parents Lacey and Gent Valentine.
He is preceded in death by Great-Grandmother Daisy Hister, Grandmother Erma Pargo, Aunt Margaret Willis, Cousin Brittany Bryant, 21 great-uncles and aunts, and a host of many more.
Although Darrell is no longer present with us today, let the memories that we've all made with him be a bond that keeps us connected with him in spirit. Cherish the times and moments that we were able to have with him and never let those memories fade. He will be truly missed. Pray, keep the faith, and stay strong.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying neither shall there be any more pain" Revelations 21:4
