Gerald "Putsy" Pargo, age 75, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 30, 1949 to Donald V. Pargo and Geraldine Baril - Conley in East De Pere, WI. Putsy worked as a millwright for 30 plus years at Anamax before retiring in 2005. He loved all things outdoors, he was an avid hunter, and enjoyed his time up north with his son and grandsons. Putsy enjoyed working with his hands, he was a skilled woodworker, and enjoyed fixing up his hunting cabin up north.
At the age of 13, Putsy met the love of life, Sherri Crooks. They married in 1969, and lived a wonderful life together in the Green Bay area. The couple was blessed with 3 children over their 56 married years together. They enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and many trips together, including Branson, Hawaii, Vegas, Memphis, Virginia Beach, and many more.
Putsy is survived by his loving wife, Sherri, his three children; Donald (Kim) W. Pargo, Kathy (Pargo) Reinke, and Jenni (Scott) Oliver, his nine grandchildren; Kyle, Nick, Dalton, Karissa (Spencer), Sabrina, Travis (Jessica), Kayla (Tyler), Kris, and Griffin, and his six great-grandchildren; Zack, Caleb, Payton, Sophia, Finley, and Emilie. He is further survived by his siblings; Debbie (Rick) Dopkins, Jim Pargo, and Sheri (Lauren) Olejniczak, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Don V. Pargo and Geri (Bill) Conley, his brother, Don Pargo, his sister, Sandy (Jim) DeKeyser, and his nephew, Chris Pargo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI). With his Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 pm with Deacon Bill Burkel officiating. Private burial service for immediate family on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
