Darrell Dean "Tooter" Phillips
August 26, 1954 – August 29, 2025
Darrell Dean "Tooter" Phillips was born on August 26, 1954, and grew up in Watts, Oklahoma, where he attended Watts schools. He spent much of his life working for OPC and was known for his creativity and talent in making crafts such as keychains, jewelry boxes, and picture frames. Darrell also took pleasure in mowing yards and offering assistance whenever he could.
He had a kind heart and a special love for little children, always bringing joy to those around him. Darrell’s life was marked by his generosity, hard work, and the care he showed to family, friends, and neighbors.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Chief and Bobbi Phillips; two brothers, Gary Phillips and Ronald Keith Phillips; and one sister, Sandra Sue Scott.
He is survived by his sister, Tricia Haddock (Rod); his brother, Tuff Phillips (Lowanda); his sister, Missy Sisco (Gregory); his brother, Corbett Phillips (Shelia); his sister-in-law, Sally Phillips; his aunt Joyce Trumbla; OPC family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma.
