Darrell Wayne Rogers, aged 69 years passed away on June 5, 2025 at his home in Blue Springs Missouri.
Born September 19, 1955 he was a lifelong resident of Missouri and a dedicated fan of both the Chiefs and Royals. He had his own way of enjoying the games, he always had them on with the tv muted and listened to the play by play on the local radio stations. Darrell was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving from June 1975 until February 1981 achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He Retired from the Ford Motor Company Assembly plant in Kansas city after a 30 year career. After his time in the military and shortly after embarking on his career at Ford he met Suzanne Baker who he would go on to Marry and would be the love of his life and best friend for almost 40 years until her passing in 2020.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Betty Rogers and his loving wife Suzanne (Baker) Rogers.
He leaves behind a loving family including his brother Gary Rogers (Marsha), sister Mary Rogers-Blakeman (Donald), Twin Brother Farrell Rogers, nephew Dwayne Blakeman, nephew Travis Rogers, niece Tina Rogers and numerous other great nieces and nephews.
Darrell was a longtime member of St Roberts Bellarmine Parish in Blue Springs MO where him and Suzanne attended regularly.
Funeral Service for Mr. Rogers will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at Funeral Services of Independence. Military Honors to follow at 11:45 am at the chapel. Entombment at Valor Park Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements conducted by Funeral Services of Independence. Condolences may be shared on our website.
