Darrell Smith Obituary
Darrell was born January 22, 1939, in Faribault, Minnesota, the only child of Leonard Patrick and Esther Amelia (Kath) Smith. He grew up in Faribault and graduated from Bethlehem Academy there. Darrell was united in marriage to Judy Ann Kurtz on August 25, 1962.
Darrell's career as a Reservations Agent in the airline industry spanned more than 40 years. He worked for Braniff, Ozark, and retired from Trans World Airlines. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Liberty.
Along with his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Margaret Smith, and grandson, Austin Michael Norman.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Judy; children, Kimberley Clemons (Ralph), Ginger Moore, Charlene Norman, Sharon Messenger (Brian), Sheldon Smith, Stewart Smith (Devin), Susanne Brink (Paul) and Jennifer Zirjacks; 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 6, at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
