On September 11, 1967, Darrell Lenard Thomas was born to the late Osie B. Perryman and Hershel Thomas. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Samuel W. Wolfson High School in the late 1980's.
After high school Darrell worked several small jobs before finding his career path in Landscaping. During his time of transition, he was employed with S & J Nursery. Darrell had a love for music like no other. He took a great interest in fishing and loved to spend time with family and friends.
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Darrell Thomas transitioned to eternal peace. He was preceded in death by both his parents and brothers, Vernon Edwards, Sr. and Ronald Wanton. He leaves to cherish special moments and memories, his son, Darrell Lenard Thomas, Jr. and several others that loved him as a father; brothers and sisters, Willard Edwards, Brenda Bronson, Craig Edwards, Sr. (Paula), Jonette Lewis (Tonny), Franklin Thomas, Mary Brooks (Karon), Gregory Thompson (Rosalind), Sebastion Thomas (Shelby), Timothy Thomas (Kisha), Anna Maria Thomas (Tressa), Josephine Jones, George Wanton, Jr. (Stephanie), Gladys Watts, Joan Britt (Chris), Marriam Washington (William), Vanessa Wallace, Lorraine Early, Anita Chandler (Earl), Velma Gist (Earle), Ira Evans (Corrine), Bernadette Smith (Kittom) and Bertina Ingram; devoted friend, Daphne Allen Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Although Darrell is no longer on this side of heaven, the memories of him are etched in our minds and the love we have for him will forever be in our hearts.
