Darrell Bryan Wofford, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away in Springdale, AR February 28, 2024. He was born in Claremore, OK, on March 30, 1950, to Thomas and Lucille Wofford. Darrell resided in the Grove and Jay communities his entire life. He graduated from Grove High School in 1968.
Darrell had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy throughout his life. Whether he was out fishing or hunting, watching World Wrestling Entertainment matches or rodeos. Darrell enjoyed long drives in the countryside and searching for the elusive Big Foot. He was known for his exceptional talent in creating beautiful art with just a pencil and a piece of paper. Darrell lived life to the fullest and embraced each moment with enthusiasm. Darrell will always be remembered for his kind and welcoming nature, always ensuring that those around him would feel comfortable and valued.
Darrell Bryan Wofford's presence will be deeply missed but his spirit will continue to live on through the love and memories he shared with all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Lucille Wofford, and grandparents Andrew and Bessie England.
Darrell is survived by his life partner of over twenty years, Debbie Boyer, son Darrell Wofford, and his wife Patti, daughter Angylia Morgan. brother Doyle Wofford and wife Patricia. Stepchildren Danielle Jackson and her husband Dewayne, Shaun Richey and his wife Gina, and Mandi Whitaker and husband Mark. Grandchildren Stormy Wofford and his wife Erica, Dakota Duffield, Colton Richey, and his wife Maddy, Sierra Jackson, Levi Whitaker, Logan Richey, Camryn Richey, Stormie Booth, and Michale Jackson. Great-grandchildren Emily Hall, Cambria Wofford, and Theodore Wofford.
His memory will be cherished by his surviving family members and friends, who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. A visitation will take place on March 5 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be on March 6 at the same location from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Darrell will be laid to rest at Snell Cemetery following his funeral service at 3:00 PM.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
