Mr. Darren Lamar McClenty
Mr. Darren Lamar McClenty, known by many of his friends as "D" Mack or simply "D," was born on March 11, 1972, in Canton, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Henry McClenty, Jr. and Mrs. Hattie Mae Hallum McClenty.
Darren's early education began at Velma Jackson School and Holy Child Jesus Catholic School. He received his high school diploma from Canton High School in Canton, Mississippi, in 1990. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and completed basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina. After serving his country, Darren held several jobs before finding his work family at the Forvia/Faurecia location in Canton, MS, where he remained employed until June 17, 2025, when his health began to rapidly decline.
In 1992, Darren united in holy matrimony with Ayano Matsumara of Okinawa, Japan. To this union, one son was born: Joshua Kazushi Giovanni McClenty, on October 13, 1994. On March 15, 2000, he fathered another son, J'Mone McClenty, with Claudine Anderson of Jackson, MS.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

Nephews: Cameron Trejon Moore, Mason McClenty, Kentrell Parker, Steven Andre McClenty, LeRoyce McClenty, and Thelmon McClenty
Nieces: Bibi A. Williams
Nephew: Alvin D. Anderson, Jr.
He also leaves behind a host of cousins, neighbors, co-workers, and friends.
The family extends special gratitude to his primary medical care team: Dr. Thomas C. Williamson, Jr. of Jackson Oncology, along with Dr. Williamson's entire staff at Baptist Hederman Cancer Center in Jackson, MS. They also wish to thank Dr. Wotman and his medical team at MD Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Henry McClenty, Jr. and Hattie Mae Hallum McClenty of Canton, Mississippi.
