Including his mother Priscilla Howard, he is also survived by his wife Heather Stapleton; daughters Clarinda M. and Emily R. Stapleton.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, at the Adams County Fairgrounds. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union is serving the family.
"A father and a friend, I couldn't ask for anyone else to grow up with. We shared so many interests and a loving, trusting relationship that I was fortunate enough to have. We shared so much on this earth, we will have a lot of catching up to do when we meet again. I love you dad. See you soon."

Priscilla,I am so sorry to hear of your loss, it was just over 4 months ago that we were at our Stapleton family reunion , not thinking it would be the last time, that we would see Darrin and his family together.
