He was born February 19, 1964 in St. Joseph to Jerry and Jeannetta (Smith) Holt. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School.
He was a journeyman iron worker for JE Dunn for 10 years, and also had worked at Rebar, Inc.
Darrin enjoyed basketball, football and boating.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Holt.
Survivors include his son, Jared Holt (DeBren); grandchildren, Hudson and Huxley Holt; his mother, Jeannetta Holt; and sister, Dana Frost (Bert); four nieces; and one nephew.
