Mr. Darron C. Walton

Darren Walton, born March 24, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly September 3, 2025. He was the beloved son of Pauline Walton and Maurice Dickison. Darren was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Jesse and Katie Wilson, James Walton, his brother Clarence (Joe) Walton, and his nephew Jamell Hornbeck. Darren attended school in the Kansas City area and worked various jobs throughout his life, including at the Dallas Cowboy's stadium, security guard, and most recently, an auto detailer. Darren was a man of faith who loved his family tremendously. He was especially close with his siblings, whom he protected fiercely, and his cousin Raheem (Bye) Malik. If Darren called you his friend, you had truly gained his trust and loyalty. He had a passion for sports, with a particular love for boxing, and enjoyed teaching his nephews how to box. Darren also loved cooking, listening to music, and considered himself the "King of dominoes". He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Vondell (Malissa) Walton of Kansas City; his sisters, Shavon Walton of Kansas City, KS; and Kayla (Perry) Walton of Blue Springs; his aunts, Linda Walton; Carolyn Walton of Kansas City; and Joyce Walton of Denver, CO; his uncles, Larry (Rhonda) Walton of Kansas City; and Victor (Kerry) Walton of Arlington, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Queenie. Darren's warmth, love, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence A.
