Darryl Brown

Darryl Emmanuel Brown, the son of John Henry and Elzetta Alvois Brown, was born November 14, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up on the city's northeast side in the Eastwood Neighborhood on his beloved 64th Street.
Darryl was introduced to the teachings of Christ at an early age and attended Emmanuel CME Church. He graduated from North Central High School and later went on to receive his certification in computer sciences from National College.
Throughout his life he worked in construction, on interior home renovations and as a self-employed contractor. He was also employed for some time at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) at Fort Benjamin Harrison and spent several years as a bartender at Seville Nightclub, later known as Barritz, on the city's west side.
Darryl developed a love of sports, especially basketball, at an early age and was a skilled long-distance shooter. He loved to dance and was known as cool dresser. He never met a stranger with his charismatic personality and quirky sense of humor. He loved to laugh and lived his life to the fullest. He was a slot–car-racing enthusiast having built numerous tracks and cars himself as well as traveled throughout several states for racing events.
Darryl Emmanuel Brown departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the age of 65 years old. His parents, John H. Brown and Elzetta A. Brown, preceded him in death in addition to one brother, Timothy Thompson.
Darryl leaves to mourn, his lifelong companion, Brenda Easter; his daughters, Brittany Ocubillo (JP) and Channese Armour (Zachary); siblings, Sherri Green (Gary), Mark Brown (Jennifer), Anita Mathis (Kenneth), John Brown, and Tonda Nomessi (Kokou); those he considered sons, Gregory and Brian Easter; grandchildren, Isabella, Annalise, Elijah, Zachary and Zaya; those who loved him as Brown Bunny; an uncle, Reverend Melvin Hunt, Jr. (Jessica); an aunt, Ruthetta Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and several lifelong friends
