Darryl S. McKay was born on March 20, 1986, in Trenton, NJ to Anita McKay and Darryl Wilson. He graduated from Archway Program- ETCO NJ, receiving his diploma on June 7, 2011.
Darryl was a resident at Project Freedom Inc. for the past 17 years. He attended Arch of Mercer Day Program.
Darryl love bowling, walking, outing, swimming, and going to the beach. Darryl love hanging out with his brother, Khalif. The two had a bond that was unbreakable. He loved to go out to eat at his favorite restaurants: Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Texas Roadhouse. Chicken and snacking on potato chips were one of his favorite things to do. Darryl looked forward to going to his day program activities and seeing his friends. Darryl was loved by everyone, but Darryl love himself some snow bunnies... if you know what I mean..lol. Darryl was a very kind, sweet, and loving person who will be greatly missed.
On February 20, 2025, Darryl departed this life at Capital Health at Hopewell in Pennington, NJ.
He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Izola John, Anita Louise McKay, and Jenette Wilson; and his grandfather, John Jones.
He leaves behind to mourn and cherish his life: his mother, Anita McKay; his father, Darryl Wilson; a brother, Khalif McKay; four sisters, Whitney Wilson, Jenna Wilson, Jamirah Wilson, and Nyjah Wilson; his grandfather, Joe H. Wilson; special aunts, Iris McKay, Anthony McKay, Bridgette Meyers, and Adriene Wilson; special cousins, Shaniea McKay, Taquan McKay, and Brenda Hastie; and a host of other relatives and friends including his Arch of Mercer Family.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, March 10, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
