Darryl E. Mohler, a devoted family man, veteran, and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan. Born on June 21, 1945, in Hollywood, California, Darryl’s life journey was marked by dedication, courage, and warmth. He was adopted by Paul and Elizabeth Mohler of Toledo, Ohio, both of whom, loved him greatly.

Darryl graduated from Toledo High School in 1963 before pursuing higher education at the University of Toledo, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business. His commitment to service was evident early on, as he dedicated four years to the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Serving as a Military Police officer from 1963 to 1967, Darryl’s exemplary marksmanship was recognized with a Marksmen's award, reflecting his discipline and focus.

After his military service, Darryl built a life enriched with meaningful relationships and treasured pastimes. He found joy in fishing and golfing, pursuits that brought him peace and camaraderie. His love extended deeply to his pets and to traveling, which allowed him to explore the world and create lasting memories with his loved ones.

Darryl is survived by his wife, Linda Mohler, who stood by his side with steadfast love; his children, Amanda Mohler, Paul (Tresa) Mohler, and Stephanie Mohler; and his stepchildren, Lynn (Steve) Shooner and Stephen (Angela) Hoeft. Cherished grandchildren include Melanie (Mel) Mohler and Alexander Mohler, along with two other granddaughters and two grandsons who continue his legacy of kindness and strength. He was also a treasured brother-in-law to Ben (Sandy) Jones and Mick (Carmen) Jones, surrounded by nieces and nephews who held him in great affection.

Darryl was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Mohler; his parents, Elizabeth and Paul Mohler; and Patty Carone, his sister-in-law. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Darryl embodied the virtues of loyalty, service, and compassion. His imprint on the lives of those around him will be remembered with profound respect and love. As we honor his memory, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man who truly made a difference.

May Darryl E. Mohler rest in peace, forever cherished by his family and friends.
