Obituary of Darryl L. Riley
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Darryl Lloyd Riley, of Winter Haven, Fl on May 03, 2022.
Darryl was born on April 23rd, 1965 in Parma, Ohio. He moved to Auburndale at the age of five and remained a proud Polk County resident for 52 years. He was an honorable man of great integrity and the proud owner of Frasier Contracting, Inc. His passion was building and he particularly enjoyed building unique and challenging structures. He believed in always giving back and contributing to the community, which he did through many charities. He had a huge heart and was always happy to help those in need.
Darryl had a passion for art, architecture, fishing, boating and sports cars. He enjoyed sharing his grilling skills, cooking secrets and his time with family and friends. Those who knew Darryl knew he loved animals, especially his dog Charley. He was also a proud patriotic man who loved his country and stood up for what he believed in. He was courageous, blazed his own trail and had great empathy for others. He will be greatly missed by many!
Darryl is predeceased by his mother Barbara Joan Ingram, maternal grandparents Joseph and Helen Giampietro, his paternal grandparents, Harry and Louise Riley. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Lloyd Leon Riley, his sister Deidre Fresquez, brother-in-law Michael Fresquez, and two nephews Nicholas and Gavin Fresquez, along with uncles, aunts, cousins and his life partner Geanie Zinda.
To honor Darryl's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude hospital or Special Olympics, in the memory of Darryl Lloyd Riley.
