Jesse Darryl Smith age 59 of Franklin County passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital He was born on July 11, 1963 a son the late Joyce Bradford Smith and Donald Wayne Smith. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brayden Cole Bogle; his grandparents, Gertrude and Tansy Smith, Thelma and Bob Bradford; uncle, Roger Smith; cousin, Tiffinie Wilson; and his special friend, Lois Hopper.
In addition to his father, he is also survived by his daughters, Jessica Cottrell (Tony) and Kady Smith; grandchildren, Hunter Bogle, Mason Smith, Kinsley Cottrell, Carter, Kayleigh, and Karlee Niday; sister, Rhonda Spence (J.B.); aunts and uncles, Janice Smith, Geraldine Hylton (Larry), Faye Wilson (Everett), Linda Musgrove (Tommy), David Smith (Michelle), and Bobby Smith (Mary Jane). He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Denver Turner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.
