Darwin Andrepont

Darwin was born in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana, to Aurelis and Ena Fontenot Andrepont, growing up near Mamou and Reddell, Louisiana. In 1954, he moved to Port Arthur, Texas and went to work for Central Freight Lines, where he worked from 1957 – 1999.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dalton; his brother, Orin; and sisters, Thelma, Helen, and Gloria.
Survivors include his daughter, Marsha and her husband, Dale; grandson, Dalton and his wife, Bridget; great-granddaughter, Dharma; and brothers, Russell and Joseph Andrepont of Lumberton, and Gilton Lejeune of Mamou, Louisiana.
Darwin was an accomplished mechanic from an early age, known around the Fannett area as the "Lawnmower Man". He touched the lives of many, always tried to fix what was broken and see what was coming. There will never be another like him.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Andrepont home on South Drive in Fannett on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Cremation arrangements for Mr. Andrepont were handled through Broussard's Crematorium under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
