Daryl L. Brunella, 94, a lifelong resident of West Newton, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, MI. where she relocated to in March 2025. Daryl was born June 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Glenn and Clara (Balentine) Nicholls. She was a graduate of West Newton High School. She married Edward L. Brunella, July 5th, 1952 and they were married close to 69 years until his death in 2021. They lived in West Newton throughout their entire married life. They enjoyed many wonderful friendships, traveling extensively with friends including yearly summer vacations for 30 plus years in Ocean City, MD. She was an avid card player and a member of various card clubs through the years. She was a lifetime member of the West Newton United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, Jay (Luann) of Temperance, MI and Gary (Jean) of West Bend, WI. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Adam (Amy) of Hendersonville, NC, Eric (Sarah) of Temperance, MI and Alyse (Sean) Eyssautier of Scottsdale, AZ. Also, surviving are nine great-grandchildren, Charlie, Bodie, Paige, Oliver, Graham, Max, Liam, Everett and Harrison. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Bob) Shoaf, West Newton, two nephews, Joel (Jessica) and Jared (Ashley). She is also survived by one great-niece, Jaylin and a great- nephew, Caden and other relatives. Friends will be received Friday, February 27, 10am to 12pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12pm, at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. Officiating will be Pastor Chuck MacPherson. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to West Newton United Presbyterian Church, PO Box 314, West Newton, PA 15089. Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com
