Daryl Granrud Obituary
Daryl Granrud passed away on June 23, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Family will begin greeting guests at 9:30 AM.
Burial will be held at 12:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Daryl J. Granrud was born to the late Dale and Marie Elsbernd, the oldest of 10 siblings, on June 7, 1949, in Bismarck. In 1954, at the advice of a Mayo Clinic physician, due to his needs, the Doctor recommended that he move to the Grafton State School. He lived there until 1988, when he moved into a home with HIT Inc. At his home in Mandan, he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, swimming, walking along the river, and soaking up the sun. He did adaptive water skiing this past weekend! He liked to play catch. Daryl was a Prankster - he liked to tease his housemates.
Daryl is survived by his siblings, Donna Granrud, Diane (Steve) Albrightsen; four children, Doug (Della Rae) Granrud, Deborah Granrud, Denise Granrud, Dean Granrud, Doria Hicks; children, Dale Jr. Granrud, Delarie Granrud.
