Daryl Hopkins Obituary

Daryl was born in Harrisburg, IL on May 31, 1957 to the late H.T. (Tom) Jr. and Betty Jane (Thompson) Hopkins. Daryl worked as a construction laborer for 46 years working out of the Laborers Union #773, where he served as secretary-treasure for a while.
On August 12, 1986 he married the former Elizabeth Ann Vaughn and she preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 2001. Daryl is survived by his sons, Alan (Eva) Duer, Clint and Jesse Hopkins, all of Eldorado, two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Noah Duer, a brother, Jim Hopkins of Eldorado and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hopkins in 1986 and a sister-in-law Rachael Hopkins.
Services for Daryl will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM
